Prior to leaving, I was a little worried about gaining weight when so much of the trip was focused on food. My husband and I made a list of food we would like to try while we were in Rome and Athens first. The list for sightseeing came much later.
This post is a review of my experience with ChaLean Extreme DVD. ChaLean Extreme is a 3 month program with a different rotation each month. The goal of the program is to lift heavy weights to reach fatigue within one set of each exercise.
Remember my previous about wedding dress sizing and how horrible it makes a bride feel squeezing into a dress two or three sizes smaller than their usual dress size? Well, I have another story for you about my Chinese dress shopping experience in San Francisco.
Though I am smaller than most American women, I am a big Chinese girl (I cannot believe that I am saying that about my 5’3” frame). The first three shops I visited in Chinatown did not even have my size (size 10 in the rear and a size 6/8 on top). The fourth shop had a few XXL dresses available (I am embarrassed even writing those words. I feel almost as awkward as the time my co-workers caught me eating a Hungryman XXL after telling them that I try not to get microwave food.)
I am on the last phase of ChaLean Extreme. Am I leaner? Not really. But I am certainly much stronger. I look firmer overall. I have one and a half months left to “get in shape for my wedding.” I would give up $10,000 from my salary to lose 2 inches off my waist so my figure would look more hourglass-like and nipped at the waist. But I know that I do not have the body type for an hourglass. Maybe I should diet?

Sometimes I wonder why we try so hard to maintain or even lose weight. In 10 years I would still be the same dress size even though your typical office worker gains 2 pounds per year. Vanity sizing would guarantee that I would still be a size 8 at 40. But wedding dresses sizing has its own set rules that makes even a normal sized bride feel like a whale. Actually wedding dresses sizing makes wedding dress shopping down right depressing.
This a post on my thoughts about wedding dresses sizing and a tip I learned that could save you some money when you shop for a wedding dress.

I am so exited about the upcoming months. I am in the process of planning my wedding for September.
And like most brides-to-be, I want be in great shape for that day. I am not too interested in dropping my vanity pounds as I am in shrinking my dress size. Muscle mass is more compact than fat. So a person with more muscle would look slimmer than a person of the same weight with more fat.

I spent the last week visiting St. Louis for my brother-in-law’s wedding. Although I was not officially part of the wedding party, there was still plenty of work for me to do.
I had my Omron pedometer with me and was able to logged in my 10,000 steps most days. 10,000 steps is the recommended amount of steps for weight loss if your average baseline is 4,000 – 5,000 steps. Basically that translates to approximately 45 – 60 minutes……….

I just want to put up a quick post to let everyone know that I am not abandoning my blog.
Lately my life seems to be revolving around weddings. As most of my readers know, I am married. It is not a secret — except to our families. Yes, that is right, [...]
