Since my car accident a few years ago, I finally understood that my health is more important than how much money I make or the toys I have. For a while I struggled with eating my way through the pain and crossing the street at the pace of an elderly person with a walker. Never again! I realized how important it is to live a healthy life now in order to stay physically independent as you age.
Trust me, our loved ones will get that dazed deer in headlight look after an hour of extensive, detailed discussion from us about our weightloss and body image issues. But not me, I will listen and gladly commiserate about our butt sizes as much as you want. And if all you need is a kick in the pants, I have done enough squats and lunges for my small foot to have some force behind it.
Our relationship with food is not always about taste or hunger. How many of us has taken a free donut when we just ate breakfast? How many of us logged hours at the gym without any results?
