Mini post: Momentum and Gravity

When asked what is your weakness in a job interview, never say that you are a perfectionist. In a professional environment, rarely do you strive for perfection. Most of time it is about meeting a deadline. Same for weight loss and a healthy lifestyle. If you wait for the “perfect outfit” or the “perfect weather” or the “perfect man” to movitate yourself, then you are going to be waiting for a long wait. The law of momentum as I learned in my engineering classes is to get started. Start moving and gravity will get you down that hill faster than you can believe. But key is to start. Are you starting today? Or you still waiting?

Until next time and thanks for stopping by Small Steps to Health.

Great post Asithi. When you get into a routine and exercise regularly it’s quite easy to keep going. However, as soon as you stop exercising and skip a session or two you can quickly loose momentum.

So true- when we can get our healthy activities to be habits so that they’re spurred on by momentum and all it’s great. Gotta just keep that flow going!

@Sagan and @Tom Parker – Free Fitness Tips – I think I have a confession. At the time when I was writing this mini-post, I stopped working out for a couple of days. I was hoping to write that post as to motivate myself. Needless to say, it did not work. Thanks for the comments.
