I just want to put up a quick post to let everyone know that I am not abandoning my blog.
Lately my life seems to be revolving around weddings. As most of my readers know, I am married. It is not a secret — except to our families. Yes, that is right, we have not told our parents yet. It has been 8 months. As I am pushing 30, I am getting more pressured from my mom to “plan” my wedding. If you ever been to a Chinese wedding, then you know how elaborate it can be with guests numbering in the hundreds, the multiple dress changes, the tea ceremony, and the multiple courses for the banquet. Do you know what kind of terror this type of planning or even being the center of such chaos do to an introvert? Did I mention how expensive it will be?
Then, there is my brother-in-law’s wedding next month. I am a little stressed because all the Vietnamese women in my husband’s family are really tiny (averaging 4’10” at 100 pounds). The last time I seem them, one of the aunts asked me: “So what do your mom feed you to make you so big?” My husband thinks she is referring to my height (yes, my great height at 5’2”) vs. my weight.
I will resume a more regular posting schedule soon. Until next time and thanks for stopping by.
