I Received an Arte Y Pico Blogging Award
July 9th, 2008 by asithi · 3 Comments
I am excited that I received an Arte Y Pico blogging award from Sharon at Goodbye to All Fat. Sharon’s own words:
“There are so many blog posts on Small Steps to Health that have enlightened me I found it hard to choose Asithi’s best entries…
By the way, Asithi and myself are not having some kind of lesbian love-in (before anyone wonders!) it simply happens that much of what Asithi writes about appeals to me and my blog seems to appeal to Asithi. (It is not automatic that just because I like the jottings of a particular blogger they will necessarily like my blog.)”
Sharon - My sentiments exactly.
As per the instructions of the award, I now need to select 5 blog to bestow this award to. I know - it sounds a lot like a chain letter and eventually everyone will end up with one, but it sounds like a fun idea to create some buzz for some blogs that I read regularly. Here are the instructions for the award:
1) Select five blogs that you consider deserving of the award.
2) Include the name of the author and a link to the blog, for each award designated.
3) Award winner must display the award graphic and name the blogger that bestowed the award on them.
4) Include a link to the Arte Y Pico blog, in order to share the origin of the award.
I am more of the silent lurker type. Though I am a regular reader to these fabulous blogs, I rarely comment. So here goes:
Blog Bloke writes about blogging tips and resources available. I like the “smaller hometown” feel of this blog as oppose to blogging sites such as problogger. Blog Bloke’s own words: Not one to mince my words or worry about political correctness, I don’t pull any punches and say what I mean and mean what I say.”
Tom writes about health and fitness. His posts are often informative and well researched, providing his references (which is rare in most health and fitness blog).
Unlike most of us writing about healthy and fitness, Lisa was a personal trainer BC (before children). There is often discussion about children’s health in this blog.
Mizfit also writes about health and fitness. She owns a “boutique personal training studio focusing on one-on-one lifestyle education.” MizFit is one of the more active blogger that I know. I see her comments everywhere.
Can you tell what kind of blog this is? Steve writes a personal finance blog. I have been reading his blog a few months before I realized that he had lost 100 pounds! His writing often keeps me in my toes when it comes to my personal finance. I am more the ostrich type when it comes to my money and some of Steven’s posts prompted me to take action.
Thank you bloggers for volunteering your time and posting up fabulous information!
Until next time and thanks for stopping by.

Blog Blokes last blog post..The Importance of Linking
Asithi, thanks so much! That’s very kind of you! I know I have a bit of a split-personality blog, since it does jump back and forth topic-wise a bit, but that post you linked to certainly does seem to catch everyone’s attention! Thanks again, I really appreciate it.
