Tom - I think part of the problem is that I do not wake up early enough for breakfast on the weekends. By the time I wake up, it is almost lunch, so I tend to wait out that 2 hours before eating. Hmmm.... I think I really should just practice going to bed earlier.

Thanks for your comments Heidi and Tom.

Love the video :-)

Got to agree that breakfast is the most important meal of the day for me, even if it is just a light breakfast. When I was at University getting up just in time for the lectures became a very regular occurence and I would not have time to eat anything before the lecture. I didn't feel hungry at the time by doing this, but looking back I did eat a lot more junk in the afternoon and perhaps the lack of breakfast was an indirect cause.

Now that I do eat breakfast and then follow it up with regular mini-meals I find it a lot easier to resist the temptations of junk food.

My advice would be similar to SpinDiva's. Even if you are not hungry just eat something that is light, easy to prepare and high in complex carbs and protein (so that the energy is released slowly and you find yourself getting less hungry throughout the day). A yoghurt, a slice of toast, a protein shake or a banana are all good choices for this.

Interesting! I used to never eat breakfast b/c I jut was not hungry in the morning. Now I eat breakfast everyday and for me it does help with not being as hungry during the day.

Spindiva - You're right. It only seems to happen when I am home or when I am out and about doing things. I find that when I am in the office, where you sit all day and stare at the computer screen, I have a hard time gauging my hunger. That is when structured mini meals really helps. I think a partial reason why I have this problem is that I am en emotional eater sometimes. When I get bored at work, I want to munch. When I get anxious at work, I want to munch. The list goes on... The office environment is hazardous for your health.

Thanks for commenting Spindiva.
